William George Bailey was born about 1837 in St Pancras to George and Helen/Eleanor Bailey (maiden name Hill). According to the 1841 census, William is five years old and lives with his parents and James (3), Jane (2) and another James (20) and John (20). In 1851, William (age 15 and a French Polisher) was was living with his parents at 5 Beaumont Place in Saint Pancras. His siblings are listed on the 1851 census as James (13), Eleanor (7), John (5), Charlotte (2), Anne (1). The 1861 census shows George (47) and Eleanor (49) living with their children at No 24 Filzroy Place in St Pancras: Eleanor (17), John (15), Charlotte (12), Ann (10), and Emma (5). George's profession is listed as "Wood Sawyer". John Bailey is listed as a "French Polisher" (like his brother William). By the 1871 census, George and Helen Bailey live with her brother (William Hill - age 50 - Boot Maker) and their daughters, Anne (20 and domestic servant) and Emma (15 and dressmaker), at 138 Drummond Street in St Pancras. At age 69, Eleanor Bailey is listed as a widow receiving Parish Relief on the 1881 census. (Census research kindly found by Anthony Barrier)
Mary Ann Bustard was also born about 1837 in Devon to Mary and William Bustard. She had six siblings (one sister and five brothers). Her older brother is William, and her younger siblings are Frances, John, James, Thomas and Charles.
William and Mary married in 1861 and had eight children including Eliza Alice (Lily) who was to become Lily Finch Leicester.
In 1861, Mary and William Bailey were living with Mary's parents (William Bustard age 53 and Mary Bustard age 50) and Mary's siblings: James (18), Thomas (16), Charles (10).
The 1871 census, William G Bailey and Mary A Bailey (age 33) lived at 36 Burton Street in St Pancras with their children William J (age 9), Mary A. M. (age 7), Frances (age 5), Eliza W (age 3), Elizabeth (age 1). The census was taken the night of 2nd April 1871.
They lived at No 36 Burton Street, London, and William was a French Polisher according to the British census of 1881. It was taken the night of 3rd April 1881. William and Mary were both age 44. Their children are listed as Frances (15), Eliza (13), Elizabeth (11), Ada (9), Johnny (5). A nurse child called William Whintchester (age 2) is listed as living with them.

On 17th December 1888, their daughter Lily (called Lillie Eliza Bailey on the marriage certificate) married William Frederick John Finch. He was the son of John Guard Finch (actor). Lily and William were both twenty-one years old.
The 1891 census says William G Bailey and Mary A (56) lived at 37 Burton Street with Elizabeth (21), Ada (18), Charles (15), Bertie (5), and William Whintchester (boarder age 12). It seems like Johnny is now called Charles.
On the 1901 British Census, Lily was called Eliza. According to the census, she had five siblings at the time: Frances, Elizabeth, Ada, Johnny, Whint.
